WHAT IS EQUILIBRE BOURRACHE-ONAGRE?

Équilibre Bourrache-Onagre contains a combination of 2 omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids from borage and evening primrose, which help maintain healthy skin and connective tissue, as well as vitamin E, which helps protect cells from oxidative stress.

Evening primrose oil, the seeds of which are rich in a particular omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid, GLA or gamma-linolenic acid.

Although it is widely recognized that excess intake of omega-6 fatty acids contributes to numerous physiological disorders and can have an impact on a number of chronic diseases, GLA has very specific characteristics that differ from those of other omega-6 fatty acids.

It enables the synthesis of another specific fatty acid: DGLA (or dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid), itself a precursor to the synthesis of series 1 prostaglandins (to the detriment of series 2).

Evening primrose oil also contains linoleic acid and oleic acid (omega 9).

Borage (borago officinalis), whose seeds contain an oil particularly rich in linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid. Borage oil contains 2 times more GLA than evening primrose oil.

Borage seeds also contain linolenic acid (omega 3) and oleic acid.

Natural vitamin E, which helps protect cells against free radicals - an antioxidant effect.

GLA is not considered an essential fatty acid (which cannot be synthesized by our bodies) but conditionally essential, as it can be synthesized from a fatty acid of the omega 6 series, linoleic acid, present in the diet (and notably in corn, soybean, sesame, sunflower, peanut, camelina, hazelnut oil...).

But dietary intakes of gamma-linolenic acid are rare, and the rate of conversion from linoleic acid is actually quite low. In certain cases, therefore, it may be appropriate to support GLA intake with dietary supplements.

Équilibre Bourrache-Onagre's formula is particularly rich in GLA, providing 206.25mg per 3 capsules.

It contains no excipients.

The borage and evening primrose oils in Équilibre Bourrache-Onagre are naturally obtained by first cold pressing, for optimum preservation of the active ingredients.

The presence of natural vitamin E preserves polyunsaturated fatty acids from oxidation.

It is recommended to take 2 to 3 capsules per day as a 3-month course of treatment to be renewed.
